Fun at the Lake

We finally have weather warm enough to go boating. We took all the girls Saturday and today. The little girls seem to really like it. Susanna likes to help Daddy drive and was pretty comfortable jumping into the water to me today. Kerrie is a daredevil and likes to go on the tube with the big girls.

Today was very exciting because Paige got up on the wakeboard for the first time. She was awesome and very pleased with herself.

Kiley (above) and Hannah (below) are old pros. They both looked great. Mom also wakeboarded today, but fortunately for everyone there are no pictures.

Happy Girl, Cute Hair

You might think that a mother of all girls would be creative and talented with hair. Unfortunately, for my daughters, I am not. I try, but a curly half-up, half-down is about the extent of my abilities. Doing hair was one of my main concerns when bringing Susanna and Kerrie home from Ghana. I decided after we finished swimming lessons on Thursday that we would do Susanna's hair on Friday. Another adoptive mom in my area offered to show me what to do. It was so much easier than I thought it would be! It was really fun to do and Susanna was patient and so good the whole time. My friend couldn't believe that we got it all done in one sitting. I know that Susanna is thrilled with the results. I can't wait to try more styles.

Swimming Lessons

Every year we start swimming lessons the day after school gets out. We usually take two sessions. Today was the last day of the second session. I was impressed with how much the girls improved from last year. Susanna was only here for the second session. I didn't know how she would react. She loved it! She is a natural fish. Kerrie is going to wait until next summer to give it a try.

I have so much to update about the last month and a half, but I do not have time to do it justice right now.  Brad and I are leaving in the morning to pick these two beauties up in Ghana and bring them home to their sisters.  I will do a couple of lengthy posts when we return.
